I have a problem, you see… I get REALLY upset when people have the same goals or even like the same things as I do…dumb right?
But I can’t help it.. & thats why I’m wondering how I can overcome this stupidity of anger I have inside. I realize that people aren’t gonna change there feelings about things just because I want them to… So, what should I do?
I totally agree with you J Moe & I accepriate your advice. Maybe I am a little jealous..sometimes I think people will be better at the things that I wanna be best at.. But I gotta let it go, all this negative energy is wearin’ me out, & life is to short to be worrying about lil’ things like that… still, I hope I can overcome this anger I’ve been this way for as long as I can remeber..
Anyway, Thanks again!
Is it really anger, or is it jealousy?? Yes, it’s crazy, but the good thing is you are aware of the problem, and you are trying to do something about it. I would start by trying to compliment others when they said things that normally anger me. The only way to defeat the bad is to use the good. The more you practice this, the easier it will get for you. For every negative thought that comes up, speak good against it. It’s not easy to overcome things like this, but it is definitely not impossible either. Everyday, you have to choose your attitude. Am I going to hold in anger at others, or am I going to be a motivator, encourager, etc? Look at it like this, if others like what you like and they set goals like yours, this should make you feel good. Maybe they see you as a role model, who knows?!? I wish you the best!
