Will taking Valerian root help with my anger problems and panic attacks from school work? What are the risks?

Will Valerian root help with my anger problems and anxiety/panic attacks with school work. I don’t want to take normal drugs for this and I am looking for an alternative. Will this work, what are the risks, and are there any more effective and safer things I can take?

Thanks

I take valerian for anxiety and it does seem to help, but I sometimes wonder if that’s a placebo effect. This is not a serious risk, really, but taking large doses of valerian causes drowsiness, so don’t take it if you’re going to be driving or doing something where you need to be alert.

If your problems are very severe, though, I think you should see your doctor. Even if you don’t want to take normal drugs, therapy might help you or your doctor might suggest relaxation techniques like breathing exercises or visualization.

How can I stop my boyfriend's anger problems?

You should consult with a doctor. They might be able to suggest a few alternatives.

No risks that I’m aware of but its effect is mild. If it works great if it doesn’t get help
